Jehiel Oliver of Hello Tractor on Innovation and Market Development

Feb. 19, 2016—Jehiel Oliver, Founder & CEO of Hello Tractor, describes why public-private partnerships like Powering Agriculture: An Energy Grand Challenge for Development (PAEGC) are critical for driving innovation in developing economies—bringing access to sustainable energy sources, mechanization, fertilizers, and other critical inputs to farmers. Mr. Oliver was the keynote speaker for the Powering Agriculture Innovator Showcase, held in Washington, DC, on November 20, 2015.

Hello Tractor is a social enterprise that is improving food and income security by building a network of “Smart Tractor” owners that farmers obtain service from via SMS. In this way, small landowners have access to affordable farm machine services to increase their productivity.
