On this page you will find files and specifications for the proper display of the Powering Agriculture: An Energy Grand Challenge for Development logo and logotype.
Name & Tagline
The Powering Agriculture: An Energy Grand Challenge for Development (PAEGC) Logotype is comprised of the ‘Powering Agriculture’ name and the tagline, ‘An Energy Grand Challenge for Development’ arranged per the diagram above. The logotype always includes both the name and tagline together as shown and may not be separated when serving as the primary visual identification for PAEGC.
The logotype is formed in all capital letters using the Gill Sans Light font in the proportions indicated above. Do not attempt to recreate the logotype as custom kerning has been applied to the type.
For color definitions, see our page on color.
The PAEGC Logotype may be used in its full, square form as indicated in the diagram above. When used on the square, the logotype will appear as white text on a green background.
The logotype may also be used in a cropped, rectangular form when given the minimum spacing indicated in the diagram above. Cropped versions of the logotype will appear without its own background, but will adopt the background of the larger layout instead. This may include green text on a white page, or superimposed over a light-colored image. This could also include white text on a dark background, or over a dark-colored image.
When PAEGC is the primary brand, the logotype should be placed at the top of the page (or cover page), flush left.
In printed documents and other informational materials, the Powering Agriculture Logotype should never be wider than half of the layout. Therefore, on a four-column grid, the logotype may span up to two columns. On three- and two-column grids, the logotype should never span more than one column.
In printed documents and other informational materials, the Powering Agriculture tagline text within the logotype, ‘An Energy Grand Challenge for Development,’ should never appear smaller than 80% of the body text size. If PAEGC is the primary brand for the piece, the logotype should be sized such that the tagline text appears at least the same size as the body text.
The logotype should also not be sized smaller than one-sixth the width of the layout, and would ideally be given the full width of a column in a four-column grid or at least half a column within a two-column grid. Within a landscape-oriented three-column grid, the logotype should never be sized smaller than half a column. Within a portrait-oriented three-column grid, the logotype should be sized larger than half a column.
