About Powering Agriculture

Powering Agriculture: An Energy Grand Challenge for Development supports the development and deployment of clean energy innovations that increase agriculture productivity and stimulate low carbon economic growth in the agriculture sector of developing countries to help end extreme poverty and extreme hunger.

Powering Agriculture Founding Partner Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) is happy to announce the launch of a newsletter on Solar Pumping & Irrigation. The Solar Pumping & Irrigation Newsletter has been developed in the context of the online Toolbox on Solar Pumping & Irrigation Systems (SPIS), a joint product of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and GIZ, under the global initiative Powering Agriculture: An Energy Grand Challenge for Development (PAEGC).

The quarterly Solar Pumping & Irrigation Newsletter will showcase the newest developments and research in the field as well as feature contributions from organizations and companies working in the solar pumping and irrigation sector.
