VentureWell, in association with Investors’ Circle, has been selected to provide Powering Agriculture Innovators with biz-tech development services, investment, and market partnership facilitation.

VentureWell and Investors’ Circle will help speed the development of investment-ready companies with clean tech innovations in agriculture for the Powering Agriculture Xcelerator (PAX) Program.

Investors’ Circle is a large, active, early-stage impact-investing network comprised of hundreds of angel investors, venture capitalists, foundations, and family office investment companies. To date, Investors’ Circle has facilitated investment of nearly $200M into more than 300 enterprises dedicated to improving the environment, education, health, and community.

VentureWell has a long history of effective partnership with private and public partners in early-stage venture development, including the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps™ program, USAID, the Gates Foundation, and incubators and angel investor organizations. Through its E-Team Program, VentureWell has supported more than 500 student teams and facilitated the launch of more than 180 ventures, which have leveraged $600M in follow-on support.

In cooperation with University of Ostfalia in Germany, GIZ has developed an e-learning course on Solar Powered Irrigation Systems. The course will increase knowledge and understanding of SPIS technologies and their adaptability to a variety of farming, cropping, and irrigation systems. The free online course will run June18-July 30, 2019. Registration closes on May 30, 2019.
