This new study aims to measure impacts and enable investments in energy-smart agrifood chains by identifying the main barriers impeding the full deployment of clean energy technologies in four case study countries and recommending possible solutions to overcome them.
Nov. 2018—This report highlights key findings conducted on the USAID-funded Energy Opportunities for Agricultural Systems and Food Security Project (E4AS Project), which expands and focuses information on how clean energy and energy efficiency can strengthen post-harvest agricultural value chains and reduce loss in targeted countries in Sub Saharan Africa, while also contributing to low emission development strategies.

Education & Tools
The Toolbox on SPIS gives advisors, service providers and solar irrigation practitioners the tools they need to give broad, hands-on guidance to irrigation end-users, policy-makers and financiers. The Toolbox includes user-friendly calculations sheets, checklists and guidelines. A Spanish version is also available.
Powering Agriculture’s free Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in cooperation with TH Köln – University of Applied Sciences. This 8-week course introduced challenges and solutions for sustainable energy use in the agriculture and food industry.
